Bootle Mark Lodge 487

Bootle Mark Lodge 487 is the Lodge for Directors & Assistant Directors of Ceremonies (past & present) of Mark & Royal Ark Mariner Lodges within the Province of West Lancashire. The Lodge being re-dedicated as such in 2021 by the RW Provincial Grand Master.
On 31st October, the Brethren & their guests gathered at Bryn Masonic Hall for the Installation of its third Worshipful Master in its new guise. The principal, Guest for the evening was our Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro David Winder GStwd., who was accompanied by our Assistant Provincial Grand Master, VWBro Geoffrey Bury PGJO, VWBro Ian Nairn PAProvGM, VWBro Maurice Evans PGJO (PGMs Special Representative) - all of whom are Brethren of the Lodge - together with other Grand Officers
Sadly, a number of Brethren were absent as they were supporting the Lodge DC, WBro Terry Dickinson who was being Installed as 1st Principal of the Provincial Stewards Chapter on the same evening & the Brethren of the Lodge wish him every success in that role.
The Worshipful Master, Bro Arthur Robinson PGJD - well known as the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, having opened Lodge formally welcomed of our Principal Guest. Salutations to him & the other Grand Officers were conducted by another familiar face, that of our past Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, WBro David Emmerson PGSD.
The Master Elect, yet another well-known face in the Province, Bro Tony Farrar PGSwdB was presented & Installed as Worshipful Master in the finest traditions of the Order & without doubt an example of how an Installation ceremony should be performed.

At the conclusion of the ceremonies the newly Installed Master presented the Principal Guest with a cheque for £250.00p for the West Lancashire Mark Charities Fund which was gratefully received & would be faithfully applied.
At the close of the Lodge the Brethren retired to enjoy an excellent Festive Board enjoyed by all concerned.
